This one, and the next species are extremely difficult to tell apart if no females are encountered. That is the case for my sightings, and it may be some of these and those of the following species are on the wrong pages. 

That being said, I think I have it right!

They are restless butterflies which never seem to alight for long, and have been very hard work to obtain a butterfly photograph at several Alpine locations.
