Coenonympha glycerion - Chestnut Heath

I have seen these only at one site in the Pyrenees-Orientales, where they were abundant and flying along the very similar iphioides species, if they are indeed separate.

When fresh they appear very "clean" in looks, though the images show how variable they are individually. They behave much like all the other Heath species, their being quite a challenge to achieve a good butterfly photograph.
