This species was eventually found on a Southern coastal mountainside in Italy in September 2019. The first few butterfly photographs I managed to take were of worn specimens with what I suspect were lizard mouthed shaped chunks out of wings, Wall Lizards being plentiful, and lurking where the butterflies wanted to alight.Fortunately, I saw more fresh specimens later.
