This easily overlooked Skipper is nowhere near as dull as it's name suggests, especially when fresh. It is a species I see only sporadically in the UK, but much more often overseas. 

The posture on the left tends to be how it prefers to sit during dull hours. The female above was about as pristine and fresh as I have seen. All these butterfly  photos were taken in the UK, except the last, from France.
