Up until 2019, the only encounter I had with this species was in the Var in France in springtime (above). Then I met up with it again in the early evening in a high meadow of the Sierra Nevada in Spain (below). This time, the specimens were fairly worn These butterfly photographs leave something to be desired, but hopefully can be added to in time.
