Guy Padfield has a superb website with photos of rarely seen European species. His knowledge and fieldcraft are unsurpassed by any other person I know.
Roger Gibbons produces perhaps the best butterfly images I have seen. His knowledge of French species, and butterflies in general is legendary, and his pages on Pyrgus differentiation are highly valuable to all who bear an interest.
Robin Fox has an excellent site devoted to butterflies in Italy, not comprehensively covered elsewhere, and hosting some lovely shots and interesting information
UK Conservation site with European Butterflies as a focus, the group emphasizes helping conservation efforts on Continental Europe.
