This was not difficult to identify. It was found in the foothills of the Pyrenees Orientales in France, on a dusty hillside covered by Scrub Oak. There was very little to see until we reached a small, hardly discernable high point. then this species, along with great Banded Grayling, Southern White Admiral and Dusky Heath jostled for attention for butterfly photography. Quite a lovely spot.
