Jamides bochus - Dark Cerulean

This is a very handsome creature when fresh. Not particularly easy to photograph, as it was highly active, staying in one spot for only seconds before moving off to combat its rivals. Fortunately common in the south, I had plenty of opportunity to get the photo right. The upperside appears a beautiful Sapphire blue, appropriate for Sri Lanka, but I only ever saw it settled with closed wings, so no images.
