The legendary status of this one in the UK, as a rare migrant to the South coast, made me want to see it from an early age. 

I did so on my first trip to France, and have done so intermittently since. 

I now have  a butterfly photo of a pristine male.... after years of waiting, this was taken in September 2019 in Southern Italy
