This is a very small but active and elegant Fritillary, at home on the high Alpine slopes. I have been fortunate to see plenty in such places and obtain these butterfly photos. 

Note how the white hindwing underside band stands out and the dumbell shaped black mark on the discal forewing upperside in S1b. (The False Heath Fritillary can also exhibit this mark.)
