These little jewels were found high in the hills surrounding Gerona, on a short and generally very wet visit to the area in April 2013. 

In one of the few sunny spells, they appeared out of nowhere, and behaved impeccably for butterfly photography.

The hindwing underside has no orange submarginal spotting.
