Fabriciana adippe - High Brown Fritillary
This right hand shot was taken in the Valais, Switzerland.
This seems a close relative of the last species, but is nevertheless quite distinctive. These photos were taken in one of England's last stronghold for this struggling species, and one hopes conservation efforts will continue with some success.
I found it to be a restless strong flier which afforded few photo opportunities.
The male is top left and the female bottom left.
